PMI Birmingham Chapter

The PMI Birmingham chapter is based in Birmingham, Alabama, USA and is home to over 500 members who are interested in the Project Management discipline.  We provide education and training opportunities at reduced rates to members, assistance with attainment of the PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification, and numerous networking and informational sessions.  To Learn even more about PMI Birmingham, visit our FAQs.

Each year over 600 community volunteers participate in the United Way of Central Alabama's annual Allocations Process as Visiting Allocation Team (VAT) volunteers. Through this citizen review process, United Way campaign dollars are distributed to partner agencies and initiatives throughout the United Way service area. Ideal volunteers should have a strong desire to make an impact in our community and the flexibility to attend a few week day meetings this Fall.

Fall 2013 UAB IS PMI-Birmingham Project Management Certificate course

The course will again start Saturday, September 7th, 2013.  If you are interested in taking the course please see the attached file which contains a brief description, the schedule, and the registration form.  If you have taken the course thank you for your support and please pass this information to others who may be interested.

Evaluations: The program continues to receive very high evaluations of 4.5 points out of 5 points with participants giving an overwhelming "yes" when asked if they would recommend the course. (As of this April one hundred and thirty-three have completed the course and become PMI Birmingham members.)
